Program: Autumn and Gourds!
Brenham resident Merlene Schumacher, local artist and gourd expert will speak about growing gourds and decorating with them for the fall holidays, including how she paints the gourds to create special art. She brings a wealth of knowledge as a Master Gardener, member of the Bluebonnet Garden Club in Brenham since 1991, tour guide for Ellison Greenhouse, landscape consultant for Texas A&M, and Member of the Brenham Art League. Merlene will also bring a selection of gourds that can be purchased.
New members and visitors (women and men) are always welcome.
