DESCRIPTION:Attendance: 12\,000 +bike riders\n\nThe BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising bike ride organized by the National MS Society. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America with 13\,000 cyclists\, 3\,500 volunteers and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin. \n\nThe two-day ride is a 180-mile journey that starts in Houston and ends in Austin. Breakpoints are positioned every 8-15 miles. The ride begins Saturday morning at three convenient starting points: Tully Stadium in Houston\, Rhodes Stadium in Katy and Waller Stadium in Waller. Cyclists will follow scenic roads into Bellville for lunch. Day One ends at the Fayette County Fairgrounds and Camp St. Mark's overnight locations in La Grange.\n\n\n\nOn Sunday morning\, Club 300 members\, riders living with MS and the team that received the Platinum Safety Award lead the mass of cyclists from the fairgrounds on one of two routes that lead to Bastrop Intermediate School for lunch. Cyclists may take the Bechtel Challenge Route and enjoy the rolling terrain of Bastrop and Buescher State Parks or bypass the parks via the Genzyme One to One Lunch Express Route. After lunch at Bastrop Intermediate School\, the route takes cyclists into downtown Austin for exciting Finish Line festivities at the State Capitol near the Bob Bullock State History Museum.
