SUMMARY:50 Quilts in 50 States for Inflammatory Breast Cancer
DESCRIPTION:This project was inspired by Sherly Mesloh in 2015. Her goal was to use the art of quilting to share the stories of women and to foster conversation about inflammatory breast cancer.\n\n\n\nThe quilts will be on display at The Wooden Spool Quilt Shop in Sealy\, TX for the entire month of October. \n\n \nWhat is IBC?\n\nA working definition: Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) is a rare and very aggressive disease in which cancer cells block lymph vessels in the skin of the breast.\n\nThis type of breast cancer is called "inflammatory" because the breast often looks swollen and red\, or "inflamed".
